The joined community Gellersen is located in Lower Saxony west of the Hanse town Lüneburg.

Gellersen has a lot to offer especially for recreational riders. The wood Einemhof offers a dense and well developed rider path network. In the Westergellerser Heath is the tournament area, which became internationally famous through the military of Luhmühlen.

Especially popular with the cyclists is the big bicycle tour from Reppenstedt to the forest inn Böhmsholz and from there via the idyllic village Heiligenthal with the well-known gastronomy in the watermill, via the sheep pen Südergellersen to the charburner hut Einemhof.
Also a side trip to the swim lake facility Kirchgellersen is recommended for guest who like a natural bathing experience in beautiful landscape.

Discover nature on nature trails in the joint community Gellersen in the nature resort Lüneburger Heide. On over 50km sign-posted nature trails you learn a lot about the different nature forms. Idyllic countryside in connection with lots of information about flora and fauna is revealed to the nature resort visitor.

The Kunst-Forum Gellersen e.V. offers to all kinds of artists the possibility to exchange views with other artists or present their work in the form of exhibitions to the public.

The Heimat- und Kulturverein Gellersen e.V. concerns itself with local history. Interested persons can learn here about interesting details from our homeland take part in culture-historical trips, literary readings in high and low German, music events, theatre visits, walks and cycle tours with professional guidance, lectures and slide show evenings and lots more.

The amateur dramatic society's productions in Südergellesen-Heiligenthal and Westergellersen are very popular.

Concerts by the mixed choir Reppenstedt and the gospel-choir are always a special experience.

There are also two trombone choirs (Kirchgellersen and Reppenstedt).
In addition two sports clubs and one shooting club invite you with diverse offers to take part in their activities.
